My quick takes:
- 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Genre 📚 thriller
- Language 🤐 moderate
- Spice ❤️🔥 none/kisses only
- Content 🤔 killing, murder, violence
I devoured this book!! I really loved all the moving pieces. A handful of different points of view, a secluded island, thriller authors getting unalived by their anonymous host, and everyone’s a suspect. It was all so good and I didn’t guess the ending!
You are Fatally Invited would be a great intro thriller if you like murder mystery books and want to dabble in the thriller genre! As a murder mystery/thriller hybrid, it’s not too creepy thanks to the different points of view and how the story unfolds.
Most surprising of all: it’s a thriller with a redemption arc 👏🏼 Redemption arcs are few and far between in the thriller genre and I really loved that this book had it!
You Are Fatally Invited made me think of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, The Glass Onion, and Clue. I can’t believe this is a debut, and can’t wait to see what else comes from Ande Pliego!
