The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie (Hercule Poirot #4)

My Quick Takes:
- 4.75/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
- Genre 📚 murder mystery
- Language 🤐 Mild/God’s name in vain
- Spice ❤️‍🔥 None
- Content 🤔 death, suicide

This was a fun one. Just as readers get settled into the Poirot series, Agatha Christie says “hold my tea” ☕️

Christie shakes up the narrator from Hastings to a GP doctor in a small town. I really liked him as a narrator, maybe more than Hastings??? I said what I said. He felt more reliable throughout which made it seem like you had it figured out at different points throughout the book. It made the twist even better in the end. One of my favorites from the Poirot series so far.

This was the final book included in the Audible library and narrated by Richard Armitage. I will miss him as a narrator, but excited to get into Hugh Fraser’s narration!

Edited: Just popping back into this review to add that this is one of my favorite Agatha Christie books to date. It has stayed with me long after finishing it and long after reading other Poirot novels!
