- Content 🤔 themes of the supernatural, death/murder, family baggage

Okay wow. The beginning of this was creepyyyy.

This is the first book by Jaime Jo Wright that I’ve read that’s had such a strong supernatural storyline. Lots of talk of ghosts hunting and spirits, etc.

I really wish the ending had wrapped up differently because she set herself up to have some really cool discussion and thoughts on how Christian’s may view the spiritual realm and how it presents itself in the physical 👀 as a fan of the Blurry Creatures podcast you can probably guess where I land on that type of topic. So I was expecting her to flesh out some of those themes and it never really happened.

The ending is very open ended and even without my wish of having more spiritual discussion in the plot the Christian themes aren’t necessarily wrapped up either. Which isn’t bad, just not how I was expecting it to be done. I liked this one more than the last two of hers I read 👏🏼 and excited to read more books by this author.

I listened to this on audio and the narrator was good! If you’re looking for Christian suspense Jaime Jo Wright is a fave of mine!
