Wowowowowowowwwwww
Setting the stage: this was a reread for me, I read this title 8 years ago, and saw the movie around the same time frame. Had no recollection of what happened in either of them.
I approached this book with the goal to finally solve the case before Poirot and filmed a reading vlog while I set about the impossible task. I had a theory midway through that I realized wasn’t correct, however a part of it was. And then, with 20 pages left, all the pieces came together. However, I feel like something was jogged in my brain with having encountered this mystery before, otherwise I don’t know if I would’ve gotten there, maybe though.
This is a locked room mystery, Christie gives you all the clues you need to piece a big part of it together. Still wasn’t sure I had the ending right until the final page but wow. Wow wow. Glad to know this is still a top favorite Agatha Christie 👏🏼
My vlog was a full immersion into all thing Murder on the Orient Express. I drank Harney & Sons tea inspired by the book and watched the movie adaptation. The Murder on the Orient Express inspired tea has since become a staple in our home and I’ve purchased it multiple times as my husband and I both love it. If you like Earl Grey tea, its very similar!

Harney & Sons actually has a trio of Agatha Christie inspired teas! I was gifted the other two so officially have the set. They make the perfect gift for book lovers, tea conneseuiers, and Agatha Christie fans alike!
The Death on the Nile inspired tea is a camomile based blend that is GORGEOUS as it brews. I normally don’t like camomile teas because they are too rich and sweet for me, but there is clove that cuts that taste and I’ve been making myself a cuppa every night before bed.
The Hallowe’en Party inspired tea is a black based tea that has notes of pumpkin and caramel. It is a rich almost dessert type tea. I usually take my tea the English way, with cream and sugar, but the Hallowe’en Party tea only needs a bit of cream for me!
