Wow. Why did I wait so long to read this trilogy? I’ve been on a bender binging these books and can’t stop. This second book was much more character driven, which I actually appreciated. I enjoyed getting more character development and seeing the arcs really take shape. If done a different way, or rushed, some would be less accepted by readers.

With that, the pacing of this book was like riding a ski lift. A slow patient build up to the top of the mountain to get off and take a fast, winding path. The pacing at the end was non stop and got the adrenaline pumping.

I listened to the audio and really enjoyed it, have no clue what’s to come in the final book but I’m here for it!

One of my favorite quotes from the book:

My brother and I buddy read this trilogy and we discuss all of our spoiler thoughts together on this youtube video, join us and watch it here!:
