Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

My Quick Takes:
- 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Genre 📚 fantasy
- Language 🤐 a few mild
- Spice ❤️‍🔥 none
- Content 🤔 brutality, slave labor, themes of off page prostitution/rape, murder,

I was immediately swept up into the world of Mistborn as if I had no say in the matter.

It’s been a minute since I was so immediately enthralled in a book/plot/characters right from the get go. The world building was simple to understand and I never felt lost, a rarity when starting a new fantasy series. The magic system was unique and easy to understand as you are learning about it along side one of the main characters.

I loved the pacing, found family, heist plot, and world building lore. The heist/found family had an element of the Oceans movies. The main group is lovable, good humored, and up to no good. I usually take a small break between fantasy series books, but I am jumping straight into the second book.
