My Quick Takes:
- 4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Language 🤐 mild
- Spice ❤️🔥 none
- Content Considerations 🤔 discussion of extramarital relations, war, murder scene
I’ve yet to guess the ending of a whodunit Christie novel and this was no exception.
Hercule Poirot’s Christmas felt a bit like clue, except in the English countryside during Christmas time. There was some interesting themes of war in this one, so it gave it a bit of a historical fiction vibe. I’m on a quest to find good Christmas murder mysteries and so far this is the best one I’ve found, all the rest I’ve read are actually pretty awful. I shouldn’t be surprised that this is the single one I’ve liked, because Queen Agatha can do no wrong.
Would recommend this and any of Christie’s books for a low stakes murder mystery.
