Is this my new favorite Hercule Poirot?!?!

From the very first chapter I KNEW this was going to be SO GOOD! The premise and plotting are 🔥 and the endingggggg?!?!?! This title is so underrated! Definitely in my top Poirot novels!

Cards on the Table is book 14 in the Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie and I loved meeting the character Ariadne Oliver. I think it was Christie’s way of writing herself into the story. Ms. Oliver is a quirky, funny character who writes murder mystery novels. The similarities between her books and the Poirot novels are just too stark to not be Christie adding herself to the plot. I loved that detail and the character added a lot of comedic relief!

The reveals at the end made my jaw drop, I was so stunned, Christie really outdid herself with this one. I listened to the audio by Hugh Fraser and semi followed along in the physical book!
