I can’t get enough of this world.
After reading the chunkier books from The Faithful and the Fallen series (a precursor to this trilogy), these books feel like short stories. I know that’s absurd because they are still in the 400+ page range, but the limited points of view and shorter time line make them feel that way.
The ending of this book made me audibly gasp 😱 I don’t know how it will be all wrapped up in the next and final book of the trilogy. I’ve been listening on audible and LOVE the narrator Damien Lynch, he’s one of my absolute favorite male narrators and John Gwynne is one of my favorite fantasy authors 👏🏼 quote the combo!
